QA Technician

In its commitment to long-term expansion and enhanced service to customers and community, MICRO 2000, Inc.'s standards of employee skill, competence and teamwork are and shall remain among the highest in the field.

This is a technical position that requires computer and networking knowledge with applications in maintaining quality with Micro2000 products. This position is also responsible for the internal system maintenance and management of the company's PC workstations and servers.

    Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years computer experience
  • Competitive skills in MS-DOS, Windows 9X/2000/XP and office application programs like Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of creating and maintaining MS Access or similar database.
  • Strong ability in troubleshooting PC base workstations.
  • Experienced in building and supporting MS Exchange 5.X mail server.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and maintaining a TCP/IP LAN/WAN/VPN network.
  • Good professional oral and written skills in presenting technical reports and organized written analysis of QA functions.
  • Able to adopt to new assigned tasks in the shortest possible time.
    Helpful Credentials:
  • A+ or Network + Certified.
  • Microsoft Certified (e.g. MCSE).
  • Network Administrator or IT experience.
  • SQL or similar database experience.
  • Engineering or similar technical experience.
  • Certifications from PC manufacturer vendors (E.g. HP, IBM certified).

Hours: Mon-Fri. 6:00am - 2:30pm
30 Minutes for lunch
Two 10 Minute breaks.

In addition to the technical knowledge, experience and competence required, employees must also possess personal aptitude to solving problems, high intelligence, perseverance, orderliness, responsibility, drive toward and satisfaction at the attainment of goals, calmness and endurance under stressful conditions, consistency and predictability in the regular attendance to duty, individual initiative as well as participation in group efforts, correct estimation of specific circumstances and an absence of unconstructive or ill-considered criticism, fairness, empathy and appreciation toward fellow workers and effective communication skills.

In keeping with these job requirements, MICRO 2000 utilizes application forms, interview procedures and pre-employment non-medical testing regimens that will assist the company to determine whether applicants possess the skills, competency and above personal attributes necessary to meet the company's performance standards. Applicants for the QA Technician position undergo such screening procedures.
